St. Augustine

A room, not a vineyard

What should I drink from here?
Vineyard landscape
Vineyard landscape

San Sebastian pours in Flagler's old railway building. The Muscadine comes from Clermont.

  • musk
  • grape skin
  • citrus peel

There is no vineyard on King Street. The Cox family, who own Lakeridge, opened this room in 1996 so the city would have a place to taste the Florida wine.

The downstairs flight is the one that belongs to the state. Upstairs you may be offered a California Cabernet. That is a different bottle, from a different climate. Drink it if you want it. Do not call it Florida.

An hour inside a day of old streets. Then stop.
